Your not joking, ffs, what a monster??!!! Isn't this taking overclocking just a bit too far? I mean not being able to put the MB in the case because of the size of the heat sink for crying out loud.

What amazes me is when you read the posts all of them are about the MB and where they can get it - have any of these guys noticed the the mountain growing out of the processor? I am surprised the MB doesn't snap under the strain!

And how long will the processor last?

Talk about 'kicking the ass out of something'.

the Tuniqe Tower is a very very nice cooler and fits in any case that is >190mm wide and is passive, though saying that the 8800GTX is a bit too long to fit in my machine...

if you're using the E6300 as a stopgap till the high end Core Quattros become more reasonably priced later on this year then why not do this, you might as well enjoy the performance even if you do a) run the risk of frying your CPU and b) are aware of the fact that you'll have a smalll nuclear heat generator under\ontop of your desk (though a first gen P4 at stock would also have the same heating effect)

at that voltage and OC i'd call the opperational lifetime about 12-18months considering at a slight OC (no volts) i still have my 7yr old AMD Thunderbird running though appart from a few chips 75C while gaming is not going to be healthy for the processor

honestly i'd have expected better FPS out of a machine that powerful but with all the driver problems Nvidia are curretly having i'd expect to see some of that rectified within the next few months
