When I proposed to start this a few weeks ago (or is it months now ?) we had a fair amount of interest. Now when we actually start getting things sorted, very few people have been turning up, so I/we can't actually make any progress on the Ladder, (we need to practise at least once before we accept a match)

So I am just writing this little rant to see if anyone is still interested ?

I replied "no" on the grounds that I'm not able to commit any regular time to play.

(Quite aside from the fact that I've not been to any of the events anyhow.)

I too said no as Infantry Only doesn't really interest me, and even if I did play, it would just be to go around in the gunship to piss around more than anything. And clan games should be a lot more serious than "so I can piss around in the gunship" :)

Also, I'm rapidly finding myself with less and less time to play games, now that I make them :(

Yes I am and always was, but with all due respect traxdata, it was only ever talk.

If you organise a practice match with another clan you maybe surprised.

Hmm, that is true, But IF no one turns up, we're not going to look very good ^_^, I have stated in the shoutbox that it is usually you that turns up around 8:30 ready for some killing :)

myself and MBobby were happily chewing down some people for a couple of hours

I will talk things over with Vibs once he gets back from Switzerland, and see where we go from here, as to either getting a fun-match set up or having a laying off of the 2142 idea for a while. :)

At work at the moment, but perhaps we can talk online at some point trax, mebbe see if we can get a practise match setup, if noone turns up then we have to lay of the idea for a while, if enough people turn up then organise a few more matches and then see about hitting the ladder?

Right then. It seems some people still are interested. Let's push this up a notch. Later tonight I will post instructions for getting yourselves registered to the THN clan on the Enemy Down ladder (something I still think I need to do myself) - you have to have been registered for at least 3 days IIRC (thats how it was with bf2 anyway) to be eligible to play in ED matches.

You need a special code that you can obtain from the game to be able to do it and I can't remember how to do it off of the top of my head.

yea but only one person (you) actually has the tick next to their name meaning they are eligible for 2142 games on the ED ladder

I said 'Yes but...' because I am interested, but time is a big issue for me, i.e. I don't have any. Its just a busy time of year, what with A-levels, UCAS and University, plus rugby, and preparing/form-filling for my RAF application. So I may well be able to join in later on in the year, just not for the near future :(

Hmm, I'm going to say no, just because I've never really got into BF2142. I didn't live up to expected similarity in Gameplay that BF2 had IMO, and hence I'm not very good at it :p.

I want to organise an ED match to see how much interest we can actually gather. However I just found out that to do so we need to have at least 4 eligible players in our clan roster list on ED.
