After Blizzard finally got the servers up and running, the improvements I have noticed that I like the best after a couple of hours playing is the on screen information via interface.

1) When u go to pick up an item/move cursor over it, u r given the 'buyback' value of it.

2) Quests which don't require a task to be completed first can now be displayed in ur on screen objectives display.

3) Quest log window is now displayed much bigger, making it easier to read all ur quests, hence avoiding continually scrolling all the time.

4) When moving cursor over a piece of armor/ring/weapon etc that u haven't equipped, u r now told the alteration in ur stats with respect to the similar item u already have equipped if u do equip new item.

I also think halfing the time to summon ur mount is a good idea.

I'm hearing warrior tanks have been heavily buffed, should work out well for you mister hotstuff.

Not yet tried the new patch but it'll be getting some abuse this weekend. I'm now getting tempted to level stormhaven to 80 with the warrior changes.

# Agility: The amount of agility required per percentage of dodge has been increased by 15%. This change required recalibrating the amount of dodge a player has with 0 agility by a slight amount as well, so all players will see their dodge percentage vary a small amount.
# Block Value: The amount of bonus block value on all items has been doubled. This does not affect the base block value on shields or block value derived from strength.
# On-Use Block Value Items: All items and set bonuses that trigger temporary increases to block value have been modified. Instead of increasing their block value amount by 100% like other items, they have all had their effect durations doubled. This applies to Glyph of Deflection, Gnomeregan Autoblocker, Coren's Lucky Coin, Lavanthor's Talisman, Libram of Obstruction, Tome of the Lightbringer, Libram of the Sacred Shield, the tier-8 paladin Shield of Righteousness bonus, the tier-5 paladin Holy Shield bonus, and the tier-5 warrior Shield Block bonus.
# Dodge Rating: The amount of dodge rating required per percentage of dodge has been increased by 15%. This is before diminishing returns. Combined with other changes, this makes dodge rating and parry rating equally potent before diminishing returns apply.

Block is being buffed, Dodge is being nerfed.... good for warriors/pallys, bad for DK's Druids.....

Rage has changed significantly for prot spec as well, there's now a lot more of it ... apparently pretty much inexaustable if you have good gear (and are getting hit obviously).

I haven't tanked as a DK yet, but my experience in the new heroic Trial of Champions last night has got me very worried indeed...

Went in on Rathje as DPS, with a paladin tank (Nactall) and we cleared it without any wipes (a few deaths, but that's to be expected).

Went in later on Elauria as healer, with a DK frost tank in 3 pieces of Tier 8, and wiped about 5 times without getting the first encounter done.

Went back in later with Elauria healing and Tuldur tanking, cleared the place without wiping again.

I am very apprehensive about tanking in Ulduar on Friday, at the very least I am going to be a significantly higher strain on the healers, and at worst a liability :(

Looks like I might be taking Rathje to a dual-wield DPS spec, and leave the tanking to the blockmonkeys. Thanks for six months of wasted effort and gearing, Blizzard.

Palas my just be the ultimate tanks for this instance. In a run today with Lideon tanking and myself healing, we managed to clear HC Trial with quite a few wipes.

Only done the new 5 man once on normal. It was interesting, but... it feels so bland and un-interesting.

The intro is rather cool, with the whole announcing thing, but i can imagine it being boring as hell after the first time, and from then the bosses arent too amazing. I guess i just prefer the more open instances, which feel more epic and worth while. The context of this tournament thing just feels very... un-important in terms of narrative.

Other than that, Mage changes im loving, living bomb on everything in sight! Still not tested the loladin or DK, but im definately not hopeful about em

Ahey, :)

Well, then!

Players will now be able to trade soulbound items with other raid or group members that were eligible for the loot. This system will work like the Item Buy Back system and allow 2 hours for players to trade an item after it has been looted. Players who choose to enchant or add gems to the item will get one last confirmation before losing the ability to trade the item.

No more item ticketting! :)

Cheers,
J.

Hey there,

well warriors did gain a substantial buff in the patch especially prot warriors. We gained more attack power, doubled devastate damaged, and the ability to block double the previous amount, whilst having increased shield slam damage from the block changes.

All in all I can say is that on the whole prot warriors are doing far better than before.

In regards to the nerf/buff to dodge and parry respectively I only noticed half a % drop in a dodge and a similar rise in parry . So wouldn't really call it a nerf more of a balance.

IMHO I am quite happy so far with this patch.. (my apologies for the wipe earlier marqo and co in Trials of the Champion--mostly down to lack of knowing what to do with the adds in the black knights second phase)

Regards

Lideon
