After a particularly poor past few months, with no games of note being released (save Bioshock), it occurs to be how absolutely awesome September+other 3 will be!

Let me help you see, if you're not keeping up with the release dates!

07/09/07 - Medal of Honour: Airbourne (360 & PC)
07/09/07 - Two Worlds (360 & PC)
14/09/07 - Stranglehold (360 & PC)
21/09/07 - World In Conflict (PC)
26/09/07 - HALO 3 (360)
28/09/07 - Quake Wars (360 & PC)
28/09/07 - Eternal Sonata (360)

It's all brilliant!

And then, even after all that, in October we have HL2+Portal+TF2, Fable 2, Pro Evo 7, Tabula Rasa, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Jericho & Anime Bowling Babes!

If that wasn't enough, in November and December we get Hellgate:London, Call of Duty 4, Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Timeshift, CoH: Opposing Fronts, Unreal Tournament 3, 3D Carp Fishing, M-M-M-Mass Effect!, Turok and Burnout!

...

I... I just don't have enough money... but somehow I will get them all!

Just looking at the list makes me fill with glee! I can not recall a more bumper crop :D. Have I left anything out?!

Hmm and i was wandering what i was going to spend my pitiful pay rise on, but you've just solved my problem. Although I will have to pass on PES7, Anime Bowling Babes and Carp Fishing.

Just have to get my 360 back from Micro$haft after it suffering the 3 red lights of DOOM :(

AS I'm lazy, who would like to provide me with links for reviews, previews and/or synopsis' for all the games listed? :D

played Team fortress...didnt think much of it tbh...people just make the route to their flag impossible...not even their own team can get to it somtimes -_-

But that was more the point. Also if you worked together it would be possible. Not just one man getting it all the time :D.

Team Fortress was the game that got me into online play so im a bit biased :D.

I've always liked playing more of a support character (even though I run off sometimes in BF2 :D) So setting up a good defense as a engineer was great fun. I remember of the Well map you could put a dispenser in the doorway to the flag room and a turret up top to get anyone conc jumping. If they got round the turret they were too distracted would run into the Dispenser which you could blow up with a key bind :D Great trap.

I haven't played the original team fortress, but I played Enemy Territory Fortress (A mod for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the free game) and enjoyed it a lot!

*mumble grumble* Try all the time... :D

TF and HL1 where the first FPS's I ever played online too, and they also got me hooked :)

A lot of current FPS's focus on long range combat, with enemies generally less than a quarter of the screen height. TFC was waaayyyy more intimate (unless sniping, but hey!), so it'd be nice to get some more close quarters action going on :D.

Nothing beats gunning down THN at "In yo' face!" range :eek:.

There are no crap guns in the game, provided you know how to use them properly. Just ones that are more appropriate to certain situations and ones that fit peoples play style better. The DAO suits mine. I tend to rush in without thinking which invariably ends up with me in close range to the enemy. In that situation, a gun with lots of power, wide shot spread (so better chance of hitting in close quarters) and a fast but controllable rate of fire works well for me.

As I'm also crap with the submachine guns (and don't need to practice with them for clan matches any more), it's an ideal choice for me. It also gives that slightly more "In yo face" feeling (as Piacular put it).

I found the DAO to be a fantastic close range weapon, and was what I always used when I went anti-tank in BF, which was most of the time :)

I was absoloutely Rubbish at TFC on the 1.6 engine. I've been waiting for HL2 EP2 for just under a year now. Remember it was supposed to be released in January of this year :O.

MOH should be good :). Although I'm still waiting on that BIG game that will reunite THN :D.
