A call to help for all amazing graphic type peoples

Well then, Having been watching the Sig-Off thread with great interest. Between myself and a friend we occasionally small computer projects for friends companies and such like. We call ourselves Macro Level Software. Anyway, a year or so ago another mutual friend designed us a logo which we really liked, unfortuantly he then underwent a bit of a breakdown, decided he never wanted to work graphics again, and trashed his hard drives. As I'm sure you can guess where this is going at the time all we had was a small proof of the logo which is quite low res.

I'm looking for someone who feels like a challenge to replicate this logo at high (-very high) res for me. I appreciate working of someone elses design is not easy, but perhaps someone outthere feels like a challenge. There isn't really a time limit, there might well be a small financial reward and some artistic license can be employed.

Anyway. Anyone who's interested feel free to contact me!

Tah all

the 3D model can be recreated in such a program as Bryce ... or another 3D suite, the actual background is bloody simple imho,

Although as im quite useless at the 3D arts of bryce and the like, you may possibly be able to 'steal' tetsuo's brother ( i hear hes quite the wizz :p )

Hmm, I wonder what I could come up with in Hammer (Half-Life 1 and 2's level editor).

Might not be what you're looking for but you can have a look and see :)

I've got both Bryce and 3dsMax and might have a bash.

Couple of questions though:

1. What texture is used on the "table" thingy
2. What resolution/format do you want the final "attempt" in?
3. Backgound in the same two-tone grey?

I could try and get my brother in to have a look, but mostly he makes fractal and geometric renders on Bryce. I'm not sure he's ever tried to make an actual object out of it, but since it's easy to make cubes/rectangles/oblongs etc. etc. it shouldn't be too much of a task to bang one together. Funnily enough, in Bryce, it isn't so much making the object or it's surface or whatever that's that problem, but actually lighting the thing. Usually any attempts I make just end up with one spotlight or something, which is no use.

Anyway, I shall try to employ the younger brother's services tonight.

Ok,
firstly thanks to everyone for the initial interest, just to clarify some issues raised

> The table back ground is not specifically required. It's actually the header to our website, Just providing the logo (ie the cuboid structure) is all that i'm after, I wish to use the logo itself in other uses...

> Resolution
I want the resolution to be as high as possible. I've fallen fowl this time of having an image which is too small a resolution for the purpose. As such I want the image to be as high a resolution as possible, I'm aiming for in the region of 10000x10000, with smaller versions of the rendering also supplied!

Anymore questions dont hesitate to ask!

THanks again for everyone's help

Hey, starting to look pretty good, needs the lightening and filters and such like put on it now. As a preference, leave the macro level text off for the moment. It's more usefull to have it off, if everything else is good then text can be added at a later date.
