Age of Conan - worth getting it?

Being a little bored by WoW in the last weeks and months I wondered wether I should switch to another MMORPG. And I chose AoC as one of the probable followers of WoW. So now I'd like to ask you, is AoC worth getting it and paying it every month (whats the monthly fee?). Has it improved a lot in the time since its release and what can persuade someone uncertain to buy it?

WAR isn't a bad choice if you're looking for an alternative to WoW but in the fantasy genre.

Docbot and I played it for a while. It was good fun but unpolished and a lot of game killing bugs in the late levels (according to Doccie B).

It might be worth giving EVE a try. I know there are a lot of THNers flying about.

The PvE is really good. I might take it up again when I've settled in as a working man instead of a studying one .

Lots of bugs killed the fun for me, but they've had 7 months since that now, so I would go check out the forums and see whether it looks like that's changed.

tbh for that price it's worth anybody trying it.

I played at launch and the initial 20 hours are pretty cool, but then the content got really thin and gameplay really twitchy (somethign about how the combat system evolves from 3 key combos to 5). And there were very questionable bugs, such as how stats on items did nothing. Yes, nothing. For anyone.

I'm sure some or most of that is sorted by now, so if you're bored.. well, it's four quid. And you can play nekkid topless women. Nuff said.
