After getting Special Forces for christmas I can't play any games because "this server does not accept modified content". The map loads, but when the join game button comes up I get that message.

Please help me :(

I had the same issue mate, took about an hour to sort.

First thing, remember you have to Re-patch to 1.12 after installing SF

Secondly, first time I did it, it fucked up. Uninstall SF. Reinstall SF then patch, in that order!

(SF wouldn't uninstall though for some reason, got round it by a system restore)

Great, thanks!

Another problem, regarding The Movies, when starting a new game it loads and then randomly crashes.

Ok, so latest drivers, and it's not CTD due to overheating..
Are you able to play at all, for a little while? or does it crash instantly?

It loads the game menu fine, you know, Game, Options, Online, Quit. I click Game, I get New Game, How to play etc. whichever I click, when it starts to load, it will get stuck and crash with no error message.

u just have to live with that im afraid, it does get better but try to make sure that you delete unused files on your pc and do not run any programs except for special forces

What? Did you even read the previous posts Gopha?

Ok Nanor, I trawlled some community site's and their didn't seem to be much support there, finally I came across a Support FAQ on activision's website:
(I checked all four pages, only page one is at all relevent) Unfortunetly the only issues seem to be crash's at launch etc.
anyway : https://activision.custhelp.com/cgi...pe=answers.search_nl&p_nav=head&p_page_head=1

They seem to want to point the finger at drivers, I know you've said you have the most recent, but try a differant driver regardless (also what GC do you use, and what driver running on it?)

Finally, how far over the system requirements are you?
I don't know how the Movies works, but if possible try running it in a smaller window (so you can see windows etc) then moniture Task Manager and see what happens when it locks up.

Try some basic troubleshooting
1, Reinstall
2, Try running in a simpler resolution (800x600)
3, Turn off the frills in graphics and sound
4, Try differant sound and graphics driver

It also looks like a patch is in the making, so you might be ok!
