Angelic, get Lost!

Guys,
I'll be moving Angelic to Lost tonight to enjoy some more raiding and progress throughout the summer. Ohmy, Veritas and my other alts are staying in my home, The Haven, so I'll still see you folks a lot and perhaps help out on some raids or in heroics or general goofing around with Ohmy :)
Just a heads-up that you'll be seeing Angelic with a different guild tag, otherwise not much will change, really ;)

See ya all ingame,
Adam

Oh well, I guess all the stuff you were talking about during your return was just that - talk. Some people will be dissapointed to see you leave.

I hope you find what it is that you are looking for in Lost.

That's a body blow to our hopes of getting our own raiding moving again, I guess our loss is Lost's gain.

Ok, i dont want to be rude but i dont see how we move forward when people leave their "Home" but i suppose i must wish you good luck.

Hmm, I've never seen such hostile feedback to anyone leaving before.

Take it as a compliment huh Angelic? ;)

I suppose a priest leaving isn't the best thing in the world when we're struggling to raid. But good luck!

To the others; come on guys this isn't the kind of guild we are. In fact when I joined we were advertised as "a community guild that happens to raid occasionally". And that, for me, is just how I like it. There may be lulls when it's hard to get raids going.. but surely you joined in the knowledge we weren't a "hardcore ZOMG must raid now" type o guild?

I know wow can get boring fast with no raidage, so I personally don't hold it against anyone if to get their daily fix they decide to join a more actively raiding guild. In the meantime, I'm staying, albeit quitely in the shadows for now. I mgiht get some guild pvp going once my pally hits 80 (as raid leading sadly is probably not my forte), but no promising anything.

Yes, I assumed such reaction will arise.

I suppose saying I had a really hard time deciding to do this step would be pointless so I won't elaborate on it, but I guess I can try and explain why I made it.

I don't see how we can move forward as a raiding guild. It's not neccessarily a bad thing for a community guild, throwing a raid every now and then and not really putting demand on anyone or any progress, but it's just what it is - community above all. This is a point on which I disagreed with Zooggy's philosophical posts - I don't think you can have reasonable raiding without some sort of motivation, drive, demands etc. that our guild decided not to implement.
Looking back, I don't see much improvement in our situation past the last two and half months or so of my absence. We still struggle a lot forming 25mans, we have people who don't know what they're doing too well, we still can't take down heroic Thaddius after all those months! And we call progress raids too early.

-> T-Bone, it wasn't just talk. See, I returned and I started raiding. Unfortunately I returned a bit too much.

-> Raz, I'm sorry. I realize that and it makes me really sad. I guess I just don't have what it takes to keep hanging around giving it more chances to see if things happen or not when there are so few people around with the same desire.

-> Midge, see above. And no, I won't technically be leaving you - my other characters stay for the community aspect and I'm defo not leaving this forums.

I knew I would step on a few corns doing this, I just hoped you would understand and take it professionally - as it's just that, raiding, not leaving you.
Now, you could start on how I should prioritize the guild's progress before my personal one and how it was a blow to the community as well...you might be right, I don't know. Things might change too, I might get back at some point. *sigh* We'll see how things settle down on both sides.

EDIT: Sill, yeah, I guess, but it makes me a sad panda nevertheless. They're family, after all.

Im sorry if i offended you, however it just dissapoints me to see people go somewhere else, espicially if you refere to us as family.

But i suppose its my problem not yours. I say this just because no matter how grim things look it has never crossed my mind to leave. But i hope Lost works out for you.

Also, Lost don't raid anything else than U25 and U10 hard modes so I'll be free to join you on your raids when I have the time.

Point being, that the raiding we are doing is with the aim of gearing people to be capable of doing U25 and hard modes in due course - Naxx 25 is the start of that process, not an end in itself.

Not much point in gearing up people who can't then use that gear to benefit the guild later on, although that's always been a risk with anyone who raids and then leaves.

I've been in the same boat, with Aftermath. The raiding was a whole other level, but in effect I was being boosted through content that I wasn't ready for. My first and only trip into SSC with them was for a speed clear so I could get the Black Temple attunement quest done - the fights weren't a challenge for them by that time, they had been farming Vashj for a month - half of that raid were alts, and they just facerolled their way through it and dragged me along for the ride.

While it's cool to see new stuff, it's far, far more satisfying to work your way up to it with a group of people who at the start couldn't even clear Naxx10 in a week, and now can get ten bosses down in Ulduar in one night.

Yeah, last Friday's Naxx25 was a clusterfuck, but you get nights like those. It was the first 25-man raid we've done as a guild in Wrath!

We went into Naxx10 with a bunch of alts and cleared it in one night last week. All we need is 25 people with that ability, and we're not that far off, and were already looking at recruitment to do just that, and I guess now we just have to add "one holy priest" to the list. And it doesn't take much Naxx25 to get a 2nd group capable of doing U10... and from there, U25 is an attainable target.

You just get to do it a little sooner, and then wait for the next content patch a little longer than the rest of us, eh?

heya dude... well i just must say, what i didn't intentionally mention before... i understand all things that made you leave, but there is one big stain here for me... you did not leave the guild first before actually applying to another guild, and that is just not right. i'm sorry to be such an ass, but i deliberately did not say this to you before, just to give you this lesson. first things first, so you should have left the haven with angi and take the risk, not just try one or two applications and see, whether it works out or not and then just possibly act like nothing happend - see my point? (sorry, this might not make sense, but i'm writing this while talking to my gf and pretending i care what she's blabbing about...)

I'd consider defending you if the sudden loss of a healer to another guild hadn't caused us to be unable to raid tonight, so I'm rather irate at this moment. People complain about the numbers then knowingly make it worse by leaving, it's hypocrisy and I'm fed up of it. Have fun with Lost, bye.

Ahey, :)

Well, here's me coming down on your side, then. Ultimately, I want you to play the game the way you want to play it, and if hard core is what you want, then you owe it to yourself to go out and seek it.

For my part, you are still very much a part of the community, and I hope to keep playing some with your alts, in one form or another. By the same token, should you decide that Lost or Aftermath or whatever are not your thing, then I'll welcome you back with open arms. (Whether I'll be alone in that or not is something else altogether, as you may have gathered... but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, ey?)

Also, you kind of have to have seen some of those reactions coming. Turnarounds take time, if for no other reason that things like this happen during them, and they sting a bit. So, even though I am defending you, I'm defending them as well, and I have to say, it stung me as well... I guess this is me rising above that, then... :)

Lastly, I have to say, it sort of beffudles me that you "disagree" with my philosophy posts. To quote Darth Vader, "I find your lack of faith... disturbing..." ;)

To everybody else, either you can get behind the vision and the ideals of what it means to be in The Haven, or there's something else out there that'll give you what you want from the game. You're the only one that can answer that question.

One thing you guys should know: we're going to keep aiming for our goals, with you or without you. I'd rather it were with you, and I'll miss you if you leave, but I won't sit around crying woes for your return. :)

Cheers,
J.

Other people, other healers too, have left without this ruckus

The reason people are attached to you Ang is twofold.

Firstly : Your a good guy to have around. Friendly, articulate, funny and active. People like that are like gold dust.

Secondly : Your an amazing healer.

We are losing alot more than lost will gain. Getting one of the above is easy , getting two is hard.

It isnt sad that your leaving. It isnt even unfortunate. Im afraid its just a mistake :)

Im sure youll see it as that and come back.

Angy when you say you love the Haven as family why would you leave at such a crucial stage of the haven almost being able to do 25 man raids and leaving us swimming once again?

None the less I enjoyed playing with you, some of my best moments where with you, I know your alts have a spot in haven still but well that is not the same for me.

Hope you made the right decision. Haven fun in there and ...

Nactall out.

It's been good to see you around the forums, please stick around in the community. THN is much more than the WoW side so even if you aren't feeling the love from the WoWers there is plenty of love to go around.

Sorry to see Angelic go, but glad to see your alts stay in the Haven.
For the 25-man raids, I'd like the opportunity to mention the raid-team I'm in with Basslar. We have Naxx 10 on easy farm, and we have quite a few nicely geared players with skills and motivation. We'll be very happy to team up with you guys for 25 mans. Just poke me or Romel/Teana/Nian and we'll make it a date.
