That's it, chaps, I'm a Steamer now, with all the Half Lives, Portal, CSource and TF2. Where do I go? Is there some THN Steam community? I'm looking forward to playing with you all
Yes, there is a THN steam community. I'm sure if you search for either THN (maybe [THN]) or "The Haven Net" then you'll find us on there...
We also have two TF2 servers of our own...
And play Portal.

Ronin, I probably have seen it already or I would have found it, or I would have found you via the Steam community section. Perhaps me asking was just a mere excuse, with the greater reason being that I wanted to announce to you all that I now have the Box as well, which couldn't be done simpler than it was, right? I appreciate your administrative efforts, but this was one of the times when I felt that asking was better than looking for myself
Next up, Team Fortress. I'm still a little afraid of starting Half Life. Seeing how even Portal could put up the depressing atmosphere and make me feel threatened, zombies running around would NOT help it.

Well there seems to be a fair bit of interest in tf2 lately, and theres usually people on / playing each night. I usually sit in the teamspeak channel with Pingue, and are occasionally on. And a coupla days ago the THN server went from 4 of us just pissing about on our own, to the server being full!

The whole bit with the ant lions was really very much like that. It almost passed my threshold for interest but I did make it through with a concerted effort. The end was pretty good, I thought. I've also completed EP1 but EP2 got devilishly tricky at the end and I haven't been sufficiently interested to bother fighting with it.

I don't get that, I've always loved the half life games. There's a grav gun. You can kill people with toilets. That's pretty much all I need to get through a game over and over.

The cake is now finished. It might look a little worse than the original, but that's mostly due to the whipped cream getting all chunky and weird so I couldn't decorate the edges. I still don't know how it tastes, leaving the pleasure of eating it for when my family gets back home.
