Everyone,
I have disabled anonymous posting for all forums except FAO: Site Admins. Unregistered / not logged in users of the boards will still be able to read the same threads that they were able to before, just not create new threads or reply to old ones.
The reasoning for this is in three parts:
FAO: Site Admins remains open for the moment, just in case I've knackered anyone up in doing this.
Questions? Fire away!
I have disabled anonymous posting for all forums except FAO: Site Admins. Unregistered / not logged in users of the boards will still be able to read the same threads that they were able to before, just not create new threads or reply to old ones.
The reasoning for this is in three parts:
- There's been a (rising) number of mistaken posts as "Guest", which were purely because people forgot to log in.
- Denying access to anonymous users for posting can help improve accountability.
- Denying access to anonymous users keeps us safer from bot-spam, which I have seen a rise of in the past couple of months.
FAO: Site Admins remains open for the moment, just in case I've knackered anyone up in doing this.
