My turn - thank you to everyone for their part in an enjoyable and successful raiding weekend.
We got a couple of new trophies in The Haven guild HQ, although Hex Lord Malacrass must be the ugliest Troll in the whole of Azeroth, so we've stuck his head in the basement. And Doomwalker's head actually makes a pretty good spittoon now that we've taken all the wiring out, so that's been relocated to the officer's quarters, next to Lithy's chair.
But let's reflect - a one-shot of Magtheridon (not pretty, but it worked) and Gruul the Dragonkiller, the customary wipe on High King Maulgar (hah!) and one-shot of Doom Lord Kazzak... and our first foray into Mount Hyjal. It was meant to be a bit of a trash farm, and we ended up getting to wave 8 (out of 8) and almost saw our first Tier 6 boss! At least the AOE monkeys had some fun...
Then on Saturday we got Al'ar to 33% in phase two on our first night of trying - awesome progress - then went and one-shotted Doomwalker on our first ever try. It was great to finally get 25 people raiding on two nights, keep it up guys!
As if that wasn't enough, we finally capped Hex Lord Malacrass after a couple of weeks trying, and after a couple of tactical adjustments, not only did he go down, but did so with no deaths! We also got our second timed chest completed at last.
But no resting on our laurels - we've shown that we're ready to take on Tier 5 content in earnest, and I think we should see our first T5 boss kills this weekend, with Al'ar and Void Reaver within our grasp.
So let's get out there this week, and make sure we're as ready as we can be for next weekend - pick those herbs, mix those flasks, mine those fish(!) and pester the guild enchanters and gemcutters to make sure you're in peak condition - if you have any questions about kit or spec, ask any of the officers and we'll do what we can to help.
