Anti-skaven tactics

With my first match in the league running over at bloodbowl tactics, I'm facing a skaven team with the classic 4 gutter runner, 2 Stormvermin 1 thrower, rest linerats build.

I am using an orc team with the 4 Blitzer, 4 Black orc, 1 Thrower, 2 goblin, 3 reroll build.

Obviously having played as skaven for a while, I'm fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses, but haven't actually played AGAINST them in a long time.

Has anyone got any tips? Particularly Ronin, as he has a lot of anti-skaven experience with orcs...!

I'm fully aware that stopping them scoring probably isn't going to be particularly feasible, particularly with the build he is using.

I may have to play for a pyrrhic draw, with me crippling his team for the long run and hoovering up SPP from the easily injured rats.

How viable is fouling on gutter runners?

Particularly useful to me would be a good setup for receiving the ball, as my standard ones are not going to hold fast against 4 GRs.

My Anti-Skaven tactics: don't play as goblins, hehehe

The gutter runners have an MA of 9, IIRC, which means they can almost score from the halfway line if they have the ball - fortunately they have a strength of just two, so you can easily put them on the floor, if you can catch them.

I would suggest using your highest MA players (likely the two gobbos) to try and make sure the gutter runner stays down - obviously they are vulnerable themselves but it also means that you can start laying the smack down with your bigger players and try to soften him up - then in the second half (at least in theory) he will be a couple of players down, and you should, even with your lower maneouverability, be able to give the ball to someone and have them be protected by your other players

No, a guy from the BBT boards. We've got it scheduled again for monday, but it's worth noting that I still can't play cheezewhizz despite all our ports ostensibly being open.
