Right, well, I came across the Anywhere.fm player while travelling the vast reaches of the intertubes. It seems pretty good, in principle; it gives you a (flash-based) player which not only allows you to play music, but upload it to a server, so that you can listen to your media collection whether you are.
It's in beta at the moment, and due to that, they are not enforcing an upload limit, so you can literally have your entire music collection online. It even comes with a handy "iTunes Uploader" so you can import everything from iTunes to the web (if you are so inclined).
Now, it comes back to the argument of legality, but then, could they get away with this by making you agree to only upload music that you have the rights to (either through a purchase or whatever). Either way, there is some "free music" on there, some of which isn't half bad. The song that always plays when I load it up is "Weekend Full of Weekends" by "Vanderveen", which I quite like.
Anyway, it's a link, so click it and decide for yourselves! Comments and discussions are welcome. I personally think this could be a pretty good idea for people who travel a lot, yet always have access to a half decent internet connection, allowing you to "carry" your music with you to work or holiday or whatever.
