AQ Guild run?

I've been thinking of doing AQ for the mounts and to see the content. I was wondering who else would like to go there, so we might be able to start an event for it.

Rather than making this thread, I would simply just pick a time that alot of people would be around and then make an event for it, with a separate thread advertising the event...

That way people don't have a chance to get moody if they are unavailable :)

Last time we went in, we spent most of it playing silly buggers and managed to clear up to the Twins. Would love to go back in there and finish the place (and like some others, I'm after more of the bug mounts, easy credit towards the Dragonhawk)

Well we cleared AQ40 last Thursday and we will aim to do it once again this Thursday. Ari will put up an event for those interested to sign up so we can go again. We will need two warlocks and a couple of mages to do all the bosses so anyone who didnt get to go last week sign up this week and let's to this thing.

I'm aiming for 50 mounts so I am super willing to do a AQ raid!:D:D

Same for me, except I'm past 50 and aiming at 100; there's two more bug mounts in there for me (think I'm lacking the red and green ones, red being by far the rarest, it even has its own Feat of Strength for getting one, as we found out last time we were in there).

I'm also working on Brood of Nozdormu rep, since I'm partway through the "Scepter of the Shifting Sands" chain quest, and one more AQ40 run plus a little bit of messing around with another source of rep-gain I have will likely get me to Neutral with the Brood, which is what I need to get onto the stage where really cool stuff starts happening; I'm doing this partly because I've longed to do this chain since it was put into the game back when I had only one real character, way back at 60, and partly because I reckon it could be a great fun set of guild activities to do; special timed runs of Blackwing Lair, fighting the four Dragons of Nightmare, summoning and defeating special bosses like "Maws" the shark and "Eranikus, Tyrant of the Nightmare" (the -real- version of that end-boss of Sunken Temple), Dr Weavil (seriously), and others. All cool stuff, all rarely seen, and all easily within our grasp if I can get a bit more rep!

Oh, and finally... yeah, there's one or two bits of cool gear in AQ40 I'd love to get my hands on. There's an old 2H sword in there that looks pretty cool, and there's a trash-dropped trinket I really want... it's not exactly powerful or anything, but I have plans for it that could lead to much hilarity... *schemes*

Anyhoo, as has been mentioned in the thread already, there's a signup for AQ40 for Thursday, and we may well make a regular thing of it. We also have in the past run all the other old-world raids (we even ran Old Naxx before it was taken out), and will continue to do so in the future!

I was just wondering, how many lvl 80 players do you need yo clear AQ without any frustration?

Well. I dont know about AQ40. But a feral druid or protadin can solo AQ20.

A small group (maybe even just 5) can clear most of it, but you need certain things present to make the Twin Emperors fight work, which is a pain.

I was asked to a PuG a few months back. They had everything up to the Twin Emps cleared.
We wiped a few times on the Twins because I, nor alot of the PuG, had a clue what to do. Once we realised what to do it was quite a fun fight.

I think there was about 15 of us.

C'thun was a epic, fun mess.

I would definitaly be up for more Vanilla raids.

I was MTing that run and want to add that of those 15 people only 6-7 were lvl 80 and a few others only lvl 60. For the twins I think you can get away with 6 lvl 80 players as a minimum (for example 2 Warlocks and 4 Paladins :P) if you dont want to jump through too many loops to make a smaller group work.
