"Guide" might be slightly the wrong term for this thread, since these are in fact rules.
Recently and in the past, there have been issues with arguements of an especially unpleasant nature breaking out in various guild communication channels and during raids. This is rather counter-productive to the main aspect of the guild, community. It has also, in the past, caused trouble in raids (everyone trying to make suggestions and suchlike in a raid is helpful and sometimes very much appreciated, but if everyone's talking over the raid leader when they're trying to give instructions, it becomes somewhat problematic).
Thus, effective immediately, some new rules are in effect regarding such arguements:
For Guild Chat (aka /g): please keep arguements from /g. Small-scale arguements are fine, obviously, so long as they do not get out of hand. Friendly banter, discussion, debate and so on have been and always will be not only acceptable, but encouraged. But any major arguements should be kept in whispers. If a big or unpleasant arguement breaks out, and isn't resolved quickly, you shall be demoted to the "Away" rank until such a time as the officers see fit to do otherwise. The "Away" rank has had its /g talk privilages removed, although they'll be able to still read /g.
(as a side note: any members of the guild who have genuinely been "Away" can whisper an officer to be put back up to a normal rank and thus be able to interact)
For Teamspeak: if it's a normal situation, people can be asked to behave as per the usual THN Teamspeak rules, and take it to whispers if possible. In the case of a raid scenario, however, you may have your voice-rights stripped either temporarily or for the rest of the raid. Voiced arguements that the rest of the raid can hear are counter-productive and often have a negative effect on morale.
In both cases, the measures taken may be slightly unpleasant or even seem harsh to some, but this is a case of doing what is necessary to avoid disrupting of community feel and morale.
In short (aka "TL;DR"); keep it in whispers, people! Arguements are bound to happen, but remember that there's no need to drag everyone into them!
