In my experience, it's really inefficient to buy and sell on the Auction House with each of your characters. In fact, it's not even good auctioneering with your main character.
Why, you may ask...?
Serious auctioneering takes a good stack of gold to get it going. I figure that you can start auctioneering with around 2 gold, but to make serious headway you need more like 10 gold, and to be competitive you need more like 25 gold.
I create a single character, separate from my main and alts, whose job is to auctioneer. I send that character bags and cash from my other alts, and alts of my comrades, and shopping lists. Then the central auctioneering "bot" can do all the necessary costings, cross checks, buy-low-sell-high, etc, etc in order to both make a profit and buy in kit to feed the other players/characters.
I propose we do something a bit similar for THN. I'm even happy to do it for us, if that works with you guys n gals.
