Final addition for today... and another for the "making it easier to get the most out of THN".
For selected usergroups, there is now an option available during registration that allows a user to elect to join a usergroup automatically after they have activated their account.
These options are only available at registration, but there is an oddity with the system in that if you didn't fill them in at registration (as will be the case for everyone currently registered) then you will see them in your User CP / Edit Options. Post-registration/activation those buttons do nothing, so if you want to remove them just go to that part of your profile and submit, then they'll disappear.
Currently, the usergroups supported by this system include:
I've not added any closed clan groups and I don't want the list to grow too much as registration is already a long process... However, if there are one or two more that you think we need then give me a shout.
Hopefully, this should mean that new THNers will find the games much faster and they'll be sidelong introduced to usergroups early on. It should also provide an incentive to activate one's account.
