AvP 2010 crashes to desktop

So, before I reinstalled (from XP to W7) I could play multiplayer AvP and had started the marine campaign. Now, I can't load any maps, at all. In DX11 mode, the game freezes. In DX9 mode, it crashes to desktop.

Latest sound and graphics drivers. Latest DX patch.

Any ideas or should I just go ahead and resign this one to the bin?

My oppinion if you want it for the Multiplayer.

But the Single Player was uber fun and worth doing. If you can find a simple fix for this that doesn't require hours of fiddling, do it.

Actually, just got it to work. I've had vsync off but turns out I needed to turn mouse smoothing off as well. Why that would make any difference, who knows? But it works now.

Lets get together and play this sometime, though trax said above the multiplayer isnt awesome, i'd disagree slighly and say that it is pretty crappy unless you have all the players in Teamspeak, now that, is alot of fun(unless its real late and you have no choice but to use headphone s ).
