I'm going to see if I can throw together a twitter -> vBulletin bridge today to allow me to post LANBUS progress to the forum.
This thread will be my test thread so you can safely ignore all posts here.

wonder whether you can do the other way and just have a little box on the forum with a feed of #lanbus or something

You could just follow @LANBUS which I've set up but I was going for post-per-tweet with a location map so that it shows up in the "New Posts" section.
