Those images look suspiciously like Wake Island....

You mean EA/DICE/whoever are taking the a map they made before and are just updating it a bit?! I would never expect them to do that!

Well if they are doing that can I have a walker in it as well please.
I miss my Riesig and my 14:1 KD in it.

Ahh those were the days.

Making supersized images not break for forum might be something to look into :P

I'm (And I assume pretty much every BF fan) hoping that the 24 player cap only applies to the console version, otherwise it's straying a little too far from the whole main feature of the BF series for my liking.

64 players servers are crap IMO.

32 players is a very good max, and as long as the maps arent too sparse then that isnt a problem.

I have to agree about 64 player servers, however 24 is just too small. That's just 2 fully manned tanks (driver and roof MG) 2 planes and 6 foot soldiers per side, that's hardly the makings of "big epic battles".
IMO it would be best if they have the limit at 64, so people can still have the big battles if they so desire, then the people who want smaller battles can find another server with fewer slots.

64 is awesome. I loves it, I does!

Also, the "trailer" shows trees falling and walls collapsing with explosions. If this is actually what it's like, planes and tanks will flatten the whole map in the first 2 minutes of gameplay, and infantry will be screwed. Unless they have non-destroyable trees and walls as well. Now that'll be pretty interesting. "Oh look, this wall explodes and I'm exposed... While this tree doesn't! Awesome!"

And I wonder if they are making the consoles and PC players play together. Can you say "Gears of War fuckery"?

This will be horrendous. A shooter released on consoles and PCs will just not perform to the standard we're used to. I hate having to wait until consoles can handle what PCs could handle two years ago.

I'm pretty sure that (Well, I hope atleast) things designed to withstand tanks and bombs would be 'invincible' elD, like bunkers and that. So not completely without cover.

This is true, but trees are nice to run through when tanks are driving along the road. Bunkers are a bit more noticeable :)

Hide in bushes and foliage, your biggest asset as a foot soldier is your mobility and small size! :P

That's what I'm saying! If they are all destroyable, where will we go?! :(

I'm sure it's gonna take a lot of firepower to destroy all the bushes and trees. :p

According to Wikipedia:
  • Auto health & unlimited ammo

Bleh, the health point system worked so well in BF2. There goes the need for teamwork out the window!

  • 3 classes - Infantry, Riflemen, and Scout

Well, there goes the whole idea of teamwork out the window!

  • Max 24 players.

Better not be the case.

  • Pricing similar to most high profile Xbox Live Arcade games (Currently 1200 MS Points = $15)

Well, it's cheap so I suppose it doesn't matter to much. Don't expect a BF2 beater is all I'm saying. Expect a game that had to be dumbed down to work on consoles.

Sadly, it seems alot of games are taking this route... You can see it all the way back to CoD4 as well, if you look at it close enough.

I have faith in the community as a whole.

Dumbed down games make big money for overinflated dev companies but there will always be upstarts with bright ideas and a burning desire to make a great game.

*fingers crossed anyway*
