battlefield 2 trouble

hi all

just need some help with battlefield 2... i just bough a new pc and a new copy of bf2 from "Game" and with done every thing we can like install and patch 1.4v but when it comes to the retrive my account "lt.kirby" it does not want to load up. it says "the server can not connect". and we have tryed to kill the firewall and anit virus but it does not want to load...

need help. (rep for help)

Since it says the server can not connect, one would assume it's temporarily down. Check back in a few hours.

if that doesnt work, try creating a new account on the new pc to see if that works. If it does, straight after try retrieving your account then.

you then have the obvious questions... is your password and username definitely correct? you didn't have caps lock on did you?

Nah you have to log onto BF2 Online so you can't use a crack if you want to play online.

Kirby has informed me that it was a problem with Norton Anti-Virus blocking it in some way, so Norton has been removed from his system and things are now working as intended

Norton? Removed? That's a bit... OTT? Just remove it from the "blocked programs" list =/. Simple as.

FYI you can play from 2 PCs with one disk over the internet, I've done it just recently.

concerning the playing from more than one pc... I personally use a combination of Daemon Tools and the MDS image for BF2 you can find over at gamecopyworld to play bf2. I have bf2 permanantly mounted in a virtual drive on my system meaning that I never need the disk to play!

thanks mark for helping me... and psi the reson i got ride of norton is it was blocking all my internet programes from loading...

If you go into the settings you can configure what programs are allowd and what are blocked, if you have further trouble just turn it off when you want to run that specific program it won't allow.

you can do that turning off marlerky becuase its always going to be running. but its all working now so no need to talk about it... (close thread plz)
