Hey, so, anyone found any interesting things about BF3?

Myself i found that when pressing the run key and W, that you could release the W key and continue to run giving your hand a rest.

Anyone else discovered interesting things?

I heard a rumour that sniper rifle glint, is only with the high powered scopes and that it doesn't happen on light scopes on sniper
weapons.


EDIT: choppas can roll over in the air unlike BFBC2

Some of the buildings from bad company 2 are in bF3, EG A building on CQ Panama, and A on Arica rush

Just saw a friendly jet fly throught an empty friendly jet stood on runway, he suvived it didnt.

People died easier, seems to be half waybetween bfbc2 core and hardcore, if hardcore on this affects dmg it might be realistic.

Hmm, so i just tried the SV98 sniper rifle withno scope on it, even when using ADS, a shot not to the head was capped at 75 dmg, from 8 meters, i got a kill assist for 75 points, what wierd shiz is this.

The banner size for the ingame BF3 server banner, we need a new one, ideally one which fits the background ingame, i will find out what that looks like later.

This should be 512x128 in .png or .jpg

Did you know that in BFBC2 and BF3 you can also double tap the forward key for sprint? (tap, tap-hold like you use on the old beat em up games to run)

It's pretty much what I do when my "sprint finger" gets tired. :)

One that I didn't know until last night thru experimentation, possibly obvious to some:

In jets, you want to bind what you'd normally have as forward/backwards to pitch up/down instead; NOT throttle up/down as those are not used anywhere near as much; in fact you maintain flight speed once up in the air.

Doing this means you can then do those lovely sharp turns by flipping on your side and tilting nose up.

There was initially some confusion of how Back To Karkand would be played on servers, whether it would be part of the same rotation as regular maps, or perhaps as Bad Company 2 Vietnam. EA has now clarified the issue via Twitter, stating that Back To Karkand will be integrated into regular Battlefield 3, and will be part of the same map rotation. In other words, there’s no need to play on separate servers just for Back To Karkand.

Back to Karkand will be released next month and will include 10 new weapons, 4 new maps and 3 new vehicles, plus a new game mode called Conquest Assault.

This is extremely good news.


So, since tracking started on wednesday, we've had 2444 unique visitors to the server. Good?
