I'm away a lot of this weekend but I'll grab a copy and see if anyone's about later on Sunday (after I've done the EVE things I've been trying to get to for the past fortnight).

So I've made a National (ie. NAZI) hero should anyone want to join me. You can't just switch teams on the fly, and you can't delete heroes you've made, so choose wisely lest you use all 4 slots.

I've went ahead and made a THN group. Should be a little easier to find folks playing if you join up.

Looks like I have to approve all join requests, which isn't exactly ideal, but I'll do my best to keep an eye on it.

Edit: And we have the option to upload a 64x64 icon and a 324x218 banner. Does someone happen to have that old forum header? It would be around the banner size. Or, even better, does someone artistically inclined want to make a BF:H themed THN banner?

So yeah, I am truly annoyed at this game. Another example of "awesome" match making instead of a server browser (though you can bookmark servers to join on later), and the ability to join a server your friends are on, which never have any free slots. Add to that the massive amount of disconnects I get during games (which for some reason, log you out so you have to wait before you can do anything else), the weird network behaviours (I click the "cancel" button when match making, and the game refuses to even attempting another connection until I close it and reload), and the fact that it appears the weapons you buy for money are better than the free weapons, I'm not sure I'll play this for long.

Oh yeah, a people who can cloak and have an uber powerful knife are fine if it's only uber powerful from behind. A knife that is uber powerful from 6 feet away no matter how they look at you isn't fun. Ever. And snipers suck.

I don't think there are buy-for-money weapons, elD. Only stuff that doesn't affect the game directly (clothes, emotes, XP bonuses) can be purchased with cash.

LIES I SAY! Though you might be right. You can get other weapons with VP (Valour Points) that you earn during the game, but I'm sure I saw weapons for sale to. I COULD BE WRONG! And I hope I am. But I still find this game less than fun, which upsets me :(

Hmm I haven't played this game since the beta first came out, but I wasn't a huge fan of it at the beta stage :/. Will probably give it another go if a bunch of you guys are also planing to dable.

As for the banner, I don't mind coming up with a quickie, although I have not used PS in a long long time :p.

Yeah. Piacular was getting instant kills in the vehicles when he ran over people. I ran over someone with a tank going full speed and flat ground, which resulted in pushing them forward for 20 feet and then them flying into the air and landing behind me, dealing a whopping 12 damage. Thanks to slow turret turning speed, and not having enough room to do a 360degree turn, I got a rocket fired at me, and died when I was on full health.

Still, the planes are semi fun. Though being 8v8 games, planes now become tools to drop (usually single people and everyone takes vehicles for themselves and leaves everyone else running) people in the enemy's starting point and capping it before they realise what is happening. They are easy to shoot down with the AA guns, and I've never seen them get kills. I guess it's because no one has been using them lots yet...

What's everyones FPS like? Mine is ostensibly crap getting about 20FPS in big firefights.

So far Trax, I've been doing pretty awesome with the planes, got about 15 kills and died a handful of times, the dog fights are good, but the planes aren't really that responsive, and they very much prefer if you don't try and flip or go anything other than level. I'm having some serious graphical glitching occuring very very often, and it's quite annoying, every 3rd game I go in to I get this massive glitching, so I have to restart the game, which fixes everything again. Annoying, but bearable.

As for the graphical glitching... have you updated your drivers?
