Does anyone play this? I was thinking of getting it, but it doesn't accept my debit card (solo) and my parents won't let me have it on theirs until after the exams

So if anyone does have it, what's it like? Is it worth the monthly subscription? And how much IS the monthly sub?

It used to be called WW2 Online, but they changed it's name for some reason.

Likely because WW2 Online did really poorly in reviews but the new name has no immediate relationship to the previous product.

This game looks cool. Looks can be decieving however. I've always wanted to have a free trial, but you need a credit card for that..

I had a friend who played it. He said it was brilliant. You could join the Air Force, Tank Batallion, the Navy or the ground force. It has a battle map where battles that take place in the game change the actual map. It sounds great, but I'm not sure if it's executed brilliantly. I read about it in PC Gamer or PC Zone. It didn't score very highly, but it didn't score too low either. It got around 70%. I'd love to try the free trial..

I considered this game about a year ago, you should read the reviews at amazon. The thing that put me off was the size of the whole thing, it is very realistic in terms of scale of Europe apparently, which means you can end up travelling in a jeep, or even worse walking for ages before seeing any action.

Some things are just not meant to happen!

Based on what I remember, it was a huge load of crap that nobody played because not only was the client unstable, but the actual servers were down most of the time. That was what, four years ago? I guess it could've improved since then, but I dunno...

Used to play this, back when it was new , to do a 'mission' as such ... you'd need to prepare, get everyone in a barracks , get the convoy ready ( incredibly realistic ) mount up, start em up and move out, as soon as you hit your target ( after say an hour driving ... you'd meet some lovelly jerry's ( or americans depending on who you where ) once you died, you'd have the unfortunate job of waiting for hours before the next convoy ( unless there were unused vehicles back at the base you started out from )

The graphics are lame, but frankly that's good for me, because my system just can't cope with some of the newer games.

I once tried this when the free trial was going, damn, seeing just 1 tank go by was a god send, hitching a ride on it instead of walking for 3hrs to the next place...

I'd love to play it, but the realistic size of Europe? I don't fancy putting something heavy on the 'w' key for 3 hours so I can die and have to repeat..
