has BF2 died? I havnt seen any of you playing BF2 for ages, ? Does anybody play it anymore? I know patch 1.3 kills servers and thats annoying, but you all seem to play scarshield or something - whats that - and WHY!!!

Hope to catch you all on BF2 soon?

We play in the 5v5 on ED, but many of us don't play publics anymore :(.

I guess ~500 hours is my limit for any one game :).

I've noticed the same thing tbh

but coincidentally, I'm playing alot more BF2 at the moment, although admitadly it's SF as I find it better suited to "loner on T.S" style play :p

The Scarshield server thing you are seeing most people in on Teamspeak now is the channel for people on the Scarshield Legion server for World of Warcraft. I think I got most BF2ers here addicted to WoW when I posted up a link to a free 10-day trial for the game...

I have been pretty busy recently with school, part time MSc, school show, world cup etc.

I do intend to be on more now. I have taken quite a shine to the new "Armoured Fury" pack for BF2, I think the maps are amazing. They are the pinnacle of what modern front line combat should be all about.

I always logon to xfire and ts2 when I play. I recommend this add on pack if you wish to re-stimulate your interest in this game.

i play bf2 alot proberly the most at the moment in thn... i always on and asking every one if they want to come join me...:p (sry every one for doing that i just get a bit bored)

I think it has, look at BF2 when it was at its height, there would be 5+ people on it every night sometimes, but now there is just the odd person every so often (Apart from Kirby :p ) and clan matches were also every sunday night. I think this could be the crossover time from BF2 to BF2142/Quakewars/[Other big online game]. But thats just my opinion :)

I haven't got it installed anymore mate :( Unfortunately I think its had its day for me. Mind you I've only got Steam and WoW installed atm so I'm very much a binary gamer just now.

oh well - looks like just poor ole me that likes this game then - what about Twisto - or have you been hooked to fantasy games?

I used to enjoy playing at about 12:00 at night, with Twisto and Lynx etc. but no ones been on :(. I'm getting pretty bored of BF2 justnow anyway. Need a good game to come out soon :D.

The worry with new games is that we may alienate ever increasing numbers of THN'ers who's system and bank balances can simply not keep up with the hike in system requirement for each game. BF2 has already done this to many.

I'm all for keeping with our roots and checking out the mod scenes for BF2/HL2/UT2004/Farcry/Doom3 where there are plenty of good games that we could get involved in for free.

Why wait (and pay) for the next big AAA release when there is so much out there worth playing already.

absolutely, and i just started to play bf2 so ppl please don't stop playing yet, seriously i'm starting to not suck huge amounts. ppl need to play for the bob. go on u know u wanna.

I have no intention of stopping playing BF2 either, as I said in earlier posting Armoured Fury add on pack ROCKS! Kirby has recently downloaded it and we will be kicking some serious ass.

I'm still going to be playing BF2. Bought it last August but have only had about 2-3 months of playing time because of Uni connection so it has plenty of life left for me yet.
