Filesize is around 2GB.

It doesn't mention whether they have gone for the same DRM that they added to BF2 (where you don't need the disk in the drive anymore) but that's certainly something I'll be trying :)

This is the most pointless map in the whole of BF2. They haven't got the balancing of it right at all. It's too difficult to do the beach landing, and the PLA owns everything that the US tries to throw at them. When playing this map, it really does feel like they didn't even try to play test it once. Or, if they did, they just didn't care. When you're fighting in the city, it's amazing, but the initial step to get a flag is far too difficult when you have some semi-competent ATs. I am interested to hear how this works in 2142.

Other than that, good on them for continually patching the game!

Had some good fun playing the "strike at Karkland" map. Great when use pod to spawn on top of a building and pick out the enemy like turkeys.

I remember the last THN BF2142 clan match. It was October 2007 - we lost!!

The Glory days! We did quite well as a team though, even if we did lost that game :)

I propose a reunion event for the THN BF2142 team during I-Series. Lets get a time agreed and see if we can't have a few hours of all things battlefield!

Considering how late we came into the 2142 match scene we certainly did ok as a team. I loved 2142, it's still probably the game I've had the most fun playing. I think that had a large amount to do with the fact that I was rather good :p

And not CoD4 :D

Ahh I remember our clan match on Tunis Harbor, running back and forth cappin' the points while our foes kept running along the water edge to get back, or through the swampy area to steal our primary spawn point! bob and I with our separate teams trying to manage between a flux of them coming one way or another :p

For a short while I was better than you. It ended quickly, about the time you first stepped in a walker.

LOVE ME my airburst rockets...

All I remember of 2142 is chasing bob in the attack aircraft, and him scream "How is he still behind me?!" on TS. But yes, in a walker, bob was quite untouchable...

For this, we have You, me, bob and bloke, I don't think any of the others that played with us are at i42 though.

(I can keep track)

Chukwu/Alex also played a fair bit of 2142 at one of the last lans he went to.

My suggestion was really we organise a 2142 group with all of the old guys, but that we hold it over i-series so at least some of us can be together!

But not in the THN team I was running :D We had Hotstuff and Gombol, plus one other who's THN name I've forgotten... some extra's that played once or twice like Danie
