Well, I've uninstalled 2142, so this is one "OMFG Y WONT U PATCH!1 FS!" I can do without.

In short: It's a piece of crap.

In long: How can I describe 2142 to someone thinking of buying it? Picture BF2. You see these lovely environments, with everything bright? Now make everything a bit greyer and darker, well.. a lot darker and greyer. To top it off, let's stick in a stampy robot, and that's how far the developers got with the game.

Now, the game has it's good points. The classes are good, and the weapons look really, really good. I was thinking about such things a while ago when I thought I'd download the latest patch and give it a whirl, when I found out, it didn't patch! I did not see that one coming..

It's the fact EA made it, and have effectively broke it.

I love the game, i'll admit that the conquest mode isn't as good as bf2 however titan mode is s'damn cool it doesn't matter. Also those stampy robots are biatching.

I think it bf2142 is no more than a good sci-fi mode for BF2. I play it in preference to BF2 simply because it is a refreshing to have new maps.

I got battlefield 2 the day it came out and played for a while, 1.3 came out, i couldnt play online for well, untill last feb when i got a new computer, that sucked alot, i know how you feel.
