As they are now both on the shelves I am wondering what members of THN are thinking about both games and of course which in a nutshell is the better of the two.

I personally have not given MW3 a decent go yet and I will have to compare them to each other after finishing the campaign. Its not looking too hot though.

Please leave your responses or gripes about either game below...

Thanks

I'm not going to vote as I'm only going to play BF3, I have no interest in CoD games anymore. As I'm not playing the other voting for BF3 as better isn't fair as I have no comparison.

I've voted BF3 purely for the fact you're part of THN and of the two it is what we play, not to mention having our own server. :)

I'm with Bob on this. I would love to vote BF3, but I don't have/have no intention of playing CoD so wouldn't feel right voting. Based upon previous discussion I would assume bloke is only voting because of a severe hatred of CoD :p

Well I managed to get both MW3 and Skyrim for £18 which is really the only reason I picked it up.

I feel a little let down with MW3 already as it seems totally out of it water. Im playing Veteran and the AI is really quite stupid.

They seem to take cover in the most unusual places and make them easy to kill, Ive noticed the recoil is minimal to non existent and the audio is severely low quality.

Ill have to play some more of the campaign to see if it has at least a decent storyline... here's hoping.

The multi player I can comment on... Its pretty dire, having been away from Call of Duty (PC) since the since the original Modern Warfare I have found it tough to get into the fight.

I booted up Modern Warfare and seemingly the whole mouse movement situation is different. Its hard to explain but its like "Boxy" and its the only word I can think of that kinda explains it.

After a few rounds on really small maps I actually felt sick moving around though that could of been the cheesecake I ate two hours back.

I have friends that own this game and of them friends only 1 likes the game play. I may only finish the single player and have done with it.

Voted bf3 as it not only rewards team based play, it pretty much enforces it if you want to get the most out of the game. Anything that tries to make the marvelous misanthropes of the FPS community work together gives me no end of joy.

And granted panda it isnt Arma II. But then both of these games are at the far end of a very different spectrum of game. Arma is very much 'this is war'. MWn and BFx are very much 'this is SPARTAAAA' and then kicks realism into a well.

Both campagns completed.

I thought the MW3 Campaign was good although knowing the characters already made it easier to get into the fight.

I played it on the toughest difficulty and only felt the game play slow down and test me a handful of times. I enjoyed it really as it was pretty much non stop fire and move all the way through.

The sound within the games was severely low quality and made me realise how much this franchise is changing little with each episode. If I purchased this game at the RRP I would of been a little let down with all the issues with poor AI and relatively bland textures coupled with bad use of recycled voice acting.

My score for MW3 is 6-10, I feel if gamers play this on regular difficulty or less they could quite easily finish within 4 hours.

Have a cookie for that sir!

I've got MW3 and plan of getting BF3 for christmas. But I can tell you now, the multiplayer on MW3 is COMPLETELY INFURIATING. You have to wait a disgusting amount of time for a match, and even when you get on, it's rife with noobtubers and morons (more so than Black Ops was). So at the moment I'm considering chopping in my MW3 and getting Skyrim instead.
