/an article in the NYT about comcast watching the internet for people complaining and then trying to contact the user in question to resolve the situation. I think this is great but alot of people are complaining it's tpp big brotherish... So i'm throwing this out to the people, whats your thoughts!
It would be big brotherish if they were analyzing the traffic on their networks to find people complaining, but they're not. They're 'monitoring comments on blogs.' I do that too, most people refer to it as 'reading.'

If you post something on your public blog, don't be surprised when people read and/or react to it...

Re: Big Brother Comcast

I don't see a problem with it.

It's a company trying to be pro-active about people's complaints regarding their service.

Googling for something like "Comcast problem" will most likely return some results. If you are going to put your complaints out into the open for anyone to read then expect them to be read and expect a response of some kind. Because the response is from the company that you are complaining about it's a good thing... it means that you can address your concerns directly to them
