Congratulations to all who played in Season 1 of League 3 of THN's Blood Bowl league and thank you for an excellent season!
Before talking the final results, a couple of notes:
Cyanide's ranking system for teams who have won/lost is fairly crazy. Now, it doesn't matter when the points talk for themselves, but in cases of a tie on points then it makes weird decisions. As a result, we're going to (try to) intervene manually.
This situation has occured in Division 1 between Huung and Tempscire, where they've both come away with 6 points, but Tempscire has been ranked 4th and Huung 5th, despite Huung winning the head-to-head (their goal difference is the same, at -1). It almost looks like Tempscire has come out on top because his team sorts alphabetically higher (G vs H). This isn't correct, as far as we're concerned, so said manual intervention is going to occur here.
Thus, the tables below reflect what we believe should have occured, not what Cyanide's broken system tries to do...
The final results of Season 1:
Division 1
Division 2
Division 3
Well done to all those who won their divisions and commiserations to those who've just found their head coach strung up outside their practice grounds.
So, to the tricky part:
Promotions, Relegations, Retirements & New Contestants
Inevitably, all the bye-teams have been relegated. This is going to be seeded differently so that the bye-teams don't end up stacked in lower leagues. Thus, the intention is to relegate the bottom played team in Division 1 and 2. This should mean:
Of course, the top team in each division will be promoted, meaning:
Those are the easy ones. However...
We've been advised that some people may wish to re-roll into new teams. Ideally, we'd like to minimise that, but we'd rather people were playing and having fun than the league was strictly competitive. So...
If you want to change your team, we need to know by end of Friday this week.
A little leniency will be offered but we do want to get things going for Season 2 in fairly short order, ideally by Sunday this week.
We need to look at what will be involved for that based on who and how many people are wanting to re-roll and our strategy will vary according to those factors. However, very roughly, we want to do the following:
Really, the aim here is to encourage a bit of consistency, discourage swapping for a "better" team you've been playing elsewhere, and give value to being in the league for longer. If in doubt, we'll likely prefer an existing team over a new one.
We're also happy to receive new entrants for Season 2. They'll replace bye-teams on a one-for-one basis, but otherwise will tend to be treated like a team change so will follow the same guidelines as above.
If you're wanting to join the league for Season 2, please let us know by the end of Friday this week.
That gives us three spots for new players.
Otherwise, get yourselves ready for Season 2 (what I'll probably start refering to as League 3.2) and we'll get this show on the road as soon as we can.

We need to look at what will be involved for that based on who and how many people are wanting to re-roll and our strategy will vary according to those factors. However, very roughly, we want to do the following:
- If you are re-rolling, we will usually enter you into Division 3, not where you are placed currently. This will lead to additional promotions as necessary to make the leagues make sense.
- New teams will need to be of the same Team Value (TV) order as the existing teams in the division they're entering. At the moment, bottom TV in Division 3 is 1130 (excluding broken teams from Division 2) so new teams will be expected to be around that TV or less.
Really, the aim here is to encourage a bit of consistency, discourage swapping for a "better" team you've been playing elsewhere, and give value to being in the league for longer. If in doubt, we'll likely prefer an existing team over a new one.
