Blood Bowl League 3 Week 4

We go into the penultimate week for the first season of league 3.

The match-ups this week are:

Divison 1

  • Storm Heroes have a bye
  • Ghazghull's Grunts vs Trax's Twerps
  • Velamantics vs Huung's Hippies

Divison 2

  • The Clan Eshin Rats vs The White Lancers
  • Bobrek's Babes vs Iron's Blackfist's
  • Khorne's Headtakers have a bye

Divison 3

  • Iguana-Lose have a bye
  • Denizen of the Rot Father vs Smashem and Bashem
  • Team Fanservice vs Necro Nemesis

The top team will go up. The bottom non-bye team will go down. We'll do manual adjustments as necessary to make that work. We don't want the bye teams congregating in the bottom division.

At the end of the season, we retain the option to trade teams in or out and trade players in or out.

If we get more new players, they will probably tend to go in the bottom league, which may lead to more promotions for existing teams, but in a ranking order. The exception to that might be if we took a veteran team, though they would need to obey the same TV1500 entry rules as for season 1. Whatever the case, we'll record what actually happened for the first season so we can make sensible decisions and tend to prefer previous players of league 3 over new players.

Okay that sounds good to me.
I'm 5th in division currently, so don't expect to be moving up or down anytime soon, but was just wondering how it would work.
My Minotaur is getting pretty tasty though - can't wait to put him to use after this bye-week.

Our hope is that with shorter seasons, people should see movement between leagues as teams grow in strength.

I haven't discussed the following with Panda or Ghostwolf just yet, but I was musing earlier on whether we might need to adjust entry requirements for teams as the seasons progress. For example, we might suggest that new teams are at least TV1100 or something to be competitive... We'll have to see how we go along.

I'm going to assume mine and Mr Fists game is going to be played during zee LAN as well.

We can make a day of it on Friday :D

I guess my opinion is that entering a team with the same TV or lower than the lowest in the league as a 'new team' would be fine. Play a few friendlies if necessary to get the team trained up a bit

Lucius: Would be good to play whilst i'm at i-series. So sometime Friday/Saturday methinks?

I also believe that leaves me with bob left to play, SUnday evening/monday morning of i-series bob?

Tis I the mighty Paddy O. The leagues only two unbeaten teams need to battle it out this week. When is good for you, evenings? days? I am getting my rota for this week tonight, so will know when I am free.

I'm actually surprisingly busy this week. . . .

Evenings are best for me.

Hmm. I think Tuesday (possibly), Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday are good evenings for me, Friday would work if the game happening about 10pm or so is fine with you. :)

Should be able to play you Friday or Saturday. I've got Friday off work so what time did you fancy?
