Blood Bowl Off Season 3.2

So here is where all those who would apply to join, file papers to leave or voice concerns and queries may post during this time when blood bowl is not happening.

It is off season, where players must rest their bodies and relax their minds. All information on who goes up, down and such will be posted once we have an idea of numbers.

Get some rest. You will need it.

I'm going to need to pass on 3.3 as well but for better reasons than before: got a contract, just don't know quite what I'm going to need to put in for it. Thinking I may aim for a return in 3.4.

The Lord of the Halflings are definitely up for competing next season and are looking to build on their no loss record! (by building many losses)

Just wondering whether the admins had given any thought to the possibility of allowing extended inducements for the next season? I particularly love the racial scrolls. Sure a fireball or lightening bolt from a wizard is all well and good, but how much better is the fist of Gork smashing down 3 times at 1 of your players (for Goblins)! Or perhaps the River Spirit imbuing all the Amazonians with Mighty blow and Frenzy for a short period, or even all opponents suffering from bonehead as Halflings invade the pitch handing out bonehead burgers to everyone!

There’s also the potions and such, but I mostly want the racial scrolls!

I would like to enter a different team (one with a vague chance of winning some matches) - should this be a TV1000 team or would I be allowed to play a game or two and "level up" a bit first?

Considering how the veteran teams are shooting up in TV and the newcomers are left so far behind... can we raise the TV to say 1500, or even 1250, to allow those lower to play some matches to buff themselves or just create a new, higher level team?

hey there, Narly advertised this league on bbtactics forum, so here I am.
I'd like to play an Ogre team, The Bald and the Beautiful, should it be TV1000 or maybe I can play a few friendly matches beforehand?

oooh, fresh meat :D

We're kinda discussing whether we can get a few friendlies in beforehand at the moment, just need the league admins to make a desicion.

On TV for new and new-replacement teams, hang in there and we'll discuss it this weekend (ideally tomorrow) and let you know specifics soon as possible.

Also, welcome Hoverdog. You aren't, by chance, an Amber fan are you?

LOL. Love the team name! :D

Good to have you over here HD. Hopefully your Ogres will have more luck than Blokes poor ones.

I swear that every Ogre team comes with its own set of weighted dice in the opponent's favour...

After playing vs you in our match, i have to agree with you. Incredible that your Ogres couldn't even hurt a Halfling!

At least we could all laugh when you threw the ball carrying Snot off the pitch, so the fans could beat him up. And that other time when you stunned your own Ogre with a flying Snotling. :D I still laugh when i think of our match. Ah, good memories... :)

Oh yeah, i forgot to say that 1 of my Hobbits got +AG! I believe it was Whil Whitfoot. I went for sidestep as Bilbo's 2nd skill (he already has +AV) and went for diving tackle on the Gaffer. I just love the idea of him tripping up opponents with his old guy walking stick!

After 2 seasons with only 2 losses, and an admined loss due to being stuck up here in East Kilbride, I feel the Coffin Dodgers have nothing left to prove, and will be swaggering into the sunset.

I'll be starting a new team next season.

As for allowing veteran team entries, I suspect the answer will be yes, dependent upon who/what/where/how many new players we have etc, but as Ronin says, him, Ghostwolf and I will discuss this weekend when I return to civilisation.

Greetings!

Like Hoverdog, I was lured here by the devious Narly Bird, who told stories about a promised land of Blood Bowl coaches who play unoptimized teams mostly for fun. Is such a thing even possible?

If there is an opening I could be willing to join with an all-Linewomen Amazon team called Cheap Girls. However, if the league is already overcrowded - or there appear more coaches willing to play than there are free spots in the league - then just put on me reserve list or something like that.

sounds like you'll fit right in, Mico - while some of us do take our teams more seriously than others, a number of us (myself included) like to go for the more obscure teams and just see what happens :)

I will have you know Team Fanservice is totally serious and our promise to "Jiggle to Victory" is a tradition passed down through the ages. ;)
