Intel® Pentium® Processor E5700 =

(2M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, dual core hyper threaded)
Nvidia Geforce 315 512MB (Laptop)

Hope this helps.

Did it come with screen, mouse, keyboard, basic speakers?

You could have built one for the same money, which would have had faster options. However it all depends what you're using it for. I just spent £250 on upgrades for my PC, new motherboard which future proofs me for the next 4 years, 8th of ram and a blu ray ODD. Separately I bought a new case, not really an upgrade just something new but that was £130.

I bought a socket LGA 1366 chip in 02/02/09, kinda at this point wish i had not, mobo(it was £247) prices have dropped significantly since then.

And when the next chipset comes out you'll need to buy a new one... With AMD they keep sockets until they're physically holding it back, the AM2 socket tom the AM3 socket there are extra pins (940 upto 942 on the new AM3+) but they remain backward compatible and future proof to a degree (you can upgrade to some processors but not all, like my am2 board upgraded with firmware to AM3 but I couldn't use a hex core chip). Now I'm future proofed up to AM4 chips where the difference There will be DDR4 RAM.

AM4 won't exist, afaik next desktop socket is FM2 or FM3 depending on how it goes. Tl'dr quad memory channel and support for fusion. Seems the next gen chips will all have GPUs on board (trinity).

Also the GPU there is about the weakest possible on the market, it gets beaten by the Geforce 7900GT from 2005.

Also MK1 linked to the notebook varient, 16 cores, not the desktop 48 cores. http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_315_us.html

Im no good at computers so :P
Nah it came with a keyboard and mouse so I mean its not that bad. Like I already have a hd monitor so there was no point paying the extra 100 for that and some crappy printer. And I got cheap speakers. Its a good upgrade for me as I was on 10 fps max before now im on 60 in org

The conclusion is, if it runs what you want it to it'll be fine, from a pragmatic overview it's not the greatest setup.

Average, for the money its okay but its all old kit. I suspect your graphics card will need an upgrade in the near future for one with at least 1GB of RAM.

That being said it should play most games at 1280x1024 on middling settings.
