Ahoy there!

I'll be buying a new comp in the upcoming days (waiting just for the payday basically), but the closer this day comes the more nervous i am about my choice, worring that i might screw something up ;) so i'd be very happy if any of you guys who are tech-savvier than myself (which is pretty much everyone around here :D ) to just take a quick look at this set and give me their 2 cents

Motherboard - ASUS P6X58D Premium
CPU - INTEL Core i7-930 Quad-Core
Cooling - ARCTIC Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
G-card - GIGABYTE N250OC-1GI 2.0
DDR - OCZ 6GB KIT DDR3 2000MHz CL9-9-9-30 Reaper Series Low Voltage
HDD - WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Black 1TB SATA III 6G 64MB cache
Power Supply - OCZ StealthXStream 600W Gamers

before you commment on the g-card being somewhat crappy compared to the rest - it's a temporary solution of balancing the budget and some goodish output, as i kinda went all out on MB, CPU and memory (in my money range ofc :) )

thank you for all the comments which hopefully will come :)

given i have no idea what your current machine is, what card do you have at the moment as you might be able to get away with the current one till you can throw something more high powered in there

Seems like a comparativly poor gpu if it really is an overclocked nvidia 250. Perhaps if you tell us what you have at the moment as we could scream dont get a gpu at all, i have been using an i7 with a 8800gt for the last 14 months with no problems(ordered a gpu upgrade last week)

Depending on your budget you could get a solid state hard drive for C drive (64gb), though im told that a 10k rpm raid0 is faster.
I would have done this if i had not just spent the last 2 months filling my C drive after i got windows 7.

Edit: ooh i just ordered one of those hdds last week.

see above - it's just a temporary thing... since, obviously, upgrading GPU is the easiest thing... but once you buy a motherboard, you're stuck with the socket on it, which is limiting the choice of CPUs; slots and whatnots, which limit your memory and HDDs (picking a reasonably priced MB with sata III almost gave me a heart attack...) but with GPU it's easy - you just have PCIe and that's all....

Swap the 930 for a 920, it's basically paying extra for a factory OC from looking at the specs on scan. I have found the stock cooler for the i7 to be perfectly adequate even for OCing, so unless you are gonna OC a fair bit I'd say stick with the stock one.
Small warning: that motherboard is similar to mine (mines the P6T-se), and to use the memory at 2000mhz they need OCing. If you're not wanting to do this, consider getting some 1600mhz modules and saving a bit of moneys.

The money saved could then be used on a better GPU, perhaps a 5850? :D

Mostly this is my personal opinion, of balancing the bang/buck level.

okay now i've encountered a "minor" setback - the only OCZ 2GHz 3x2GB DD3 set that is on the qualified venodr list for this MB is not imported into CZ at all... and obviously the one i've chosen is not there - big issue or not...?
