[Bug: Cosmetic] New Posts slightly broken?

Something Birdy noticed today that made me want to post it here because its something I have noticed for ages and is slightly annoying...

Bacisally when on the frontpage each forum has an icon next to it, denoting whether or not it has any new posts. Now when I log on to THN, I press the new posts button to show me a list of threads with new posts and I just read them from there - but even though I read all posts sometimes not all of the icons on the main page clear back to the "No New Posts" icon... they still show the "New Posts" icon even after I press the New Posts link at the top again and it tells me that there are no new posts...

I haven't noticed any particular pattern with this, and I haven't noticed it happening to only one particular forum, it seems to happen on them all.

I'm using Blue2 Scaling.

Yeah, you mean the markers on the left next to the forums that turn orange (in blue2)?

It's a little irritating. I suggest using Quick Links / Mark Forums Read to clear those flags for the time being. I'm not certain what causes it.

I think it's caused by subforums. I've noticed it at other forums as well, though it seems to happen pretty randomly.

I've noticed that one too, although I personally read all the threads ( or click on them to appear read ) then double click the icon to make it revert to normal
