[Bug:minor]/confusing. PM icon

Is there any way to get the little envelope icon in the top right corner of the page (on the blue2 theme at least) not to show up. A closed envelope implies: "you have mail to read" I would have said?

Maybe make it show up if someone does have mail, and just let it disappear if they don't. When I login, I usually notice it and go "oo, someone loves me", but then I realise that, in fact, noone does :-( heh.

That Icon starts flasing bright Red and/or Green when you have new PMs. Trust me you'll notice it

Mmm, I see what you're getting at but it is working as intended. Exactly as TB says, it flashes at you a few times when you have unread PMs.

I'll give some thought to a possible alternate icon but I'm working with limited space up there.

fair enough .

from my web developer p.o.v id just go with no icon = no messages. eye catching icon = messages, but thats just my opinion. dunno what other people would prefer.
