I saw the forum appear in the shoutbox, and then dissapear. But I did manage to spot a server too busy message.

i could have also used vib's wedding as an excuse but that could come back to bite me!

This is likely only temporary and not really a bug at all. The shoutbox, as an AJAX application, is constantly hitting the server for updates. If it does that part way through an update or outage then that might cause some of these symptoms. However, no VB or VBScript is employed anywhere through the site so that is entirely unrelated. I suspect that the VB error is really from Excel.

Really, nothing to see here but thanks for the report. Shout if it happens more because it implies something odd at the web server level (to me, at least).

I've seen that too. THN then normally pops up with a "server busy" message - if you refresh the page all seems fine afterwards :)
