Check this website out:

You can buy eve money and be a billionaire in eve instantly for a few quid.

How much could one do with 2 Billion ISK? costing £43.45.

By my calculations 1 isk = 1/460000 of a penny!

The mine ship I fancy is 19,000,000 ISK which is about 50p in real money.

Obvioulsy there would be issues with skills and training lagging behind.

It would be like winning the eve lottery buying the money, but it would save a hell of a lot of time trying to buy the biggest and bestest ship with all the add ons.

If you wanted to get isk for real money, however there is a legal way of doing it.

Look into the purchase and sale of Eve Time Codes (ETCs) Traxata recently did this after i suggested it to him.

An ETC is a code that you yourself purchase for real cash. It gives you game play time. You can then (officially and within the mechanics of the game) sell this code on to other EVE players for ISK.

Traxata got (i think) 150mil ISK for a £7 code.

If any of you had suddenly turned up in faction Battleships or the like, we would have assumed isk buying, and the WAR would have been for real.

Isk farmers are a pain in the behind. And ruin the game ecconomy for everyone.

In our war two before you, one of their mth and a half chrs lost on the first day a Drake and a navy caracal, (BOth fitted with top of the range mata 13 stuff), so upwards of 200 million, min. Which is possible to have bought in that time if you know what you are doing, next day he was again fielding a meta 13 fitted drake, (And he didnt know what he was doing), and replaced that as soon as it was lost.

At the end of the weeks WAR, we paid to continue it, with the added demand that this chr was thrown out of their corp. He did this, BUT WE STILL have him marked as red.

SO
1) It ruins the Game machanic
2) It devaules anyship you do manage to get
3) I personaly would ensure you were called primary in any fleet/squad engagement

You lot play other games, dont you find Glod farmers annoying?

I believe that EVE is the first MMORPG that Hotstuff may have played.

We'll discourage him from this, don't worry :)

WOW! I just wanted to see if anyone was aware of this for EVE and what they thought of it, £8 a month is enough to spend on any game!!

I reactivated my account from 5 years ago because of the recent surge in interest in EVE within THN.

I am glad that people have responded in the way they have as buying your way into EVE would obviously be counterproductive in almost every respect. For example, it would obviously mean a lack of appreciation for anything you end up getting for no effort whatsoever and as has already been pointed out by ‘Killete-dark’ you wouldn’t know how to use the hardware anyway. In short, you would a nuisance to the Eve community at every level.

One of the challenges in EVE is carefully balancing skills/training with economic constraints. This must be done in conjunction with career experience over time ideally in collaboration within co-operations/alliances to maximise fun and the contribution you as an individual can make to the Eve society.

If you want to buy ISK, please do it buy selling timecodes. I still consider this cheating, but at least you wont get banned.

Its a litte more expensice than RMT, but you dont ruin the game in the same way.

A friend of mine sold a 30 day timecode for about 165 million ISK. I dont like it, but do it if you have to.
