CoD Enthusiasts, most people on my xfire list ;) Remember I pretty much started out on CoD. (admittedly there was some Delta Force before then)

Well it's 3 against 1 on this thread alone on not knowing. :p

Do you think IV will go the same way and go for vehicular combat the way Treyarch did, but try and make it not god awful?

Introversion has nothing to do with this! Infinity Ward do though ;)

Infinity Ward won't put vehicles in the multi player, I was tried before on CoD:UO and failed miserably. If they do I will be very very shocked.

Here's a helpful sequel guide: if Activision owns it, expect at least one iteration per year.

It's going under the title Modern Warfare 2 and it's being developed by Infinity Ward (Thank Christ). Let's see how this plays out.

hopefully this will leave WW2 alone :(

I think this was covered by a certain something in the original post, though maybe TB is like 130 years old, in which case, WW2 was pretty darn modern! :D.

In all honesty though, I'll be happy to see the series return to Modern day fighting, The world war era is seriously dated, and although COD5 was a somewhat fresh take on it what with being jungle warfare, it was still very familiar (partially because it was so similar in control and feel to COD4, partly because it was WW2 for about the 100000000000th time in a game) I look forward to seeing whether they'll consider with some more of the middle eastern conflict or perhaps go for something completely different.

Maybe they'll put it in the future perhaps around the year 2140 and maybe we can use guns like the voss and perhaps they'll make a walker and call it the Riesig.

hmmm I think I maybe having BF2142 nostalgia again.

I think developers are quite scared of going after subjects that are actually topical, such as Afghanistan. Sure, we've had a bit of Iraq, but Desert Storm 1 is fairly old news now, and even Desert Storm 2 is starting to become history not politics.

The topical stuff seems to be the purview of the independent developers and mod teams.

So, while that's true, we're going to get WW2 again... and again... and again...

Maybe they should do a WW2.01 that is set 300 years in the future, where an insane dictatorial android called e-Hitler has created this radical idea of destroying all e-Jews by burning them and gassing them in e-Auschwitz. He's called this radical thinking "e-Nazi-ism" Now you as a low level programmer have to perfect your skills of warfare and use of computers by playing through every WW2 game ever made (Yes that's right, all 42 billion of them.....) And once you have done that, you can enter the e-world called "e-earth," begin your travel from e-UK to e-Berlin, and e-Poland in order to destroy this crazy dictators power core using the very latest e-weaponry defeating the very latest e-Nazis and winning key battles, such as "the e-battle of Stalingrad" and "the e-battle of Midway" until you finally come face-to-face with e-Hitler for the final, epic showdown, "the e-battle of e-<insert character name here> against e-Hitler that is of huge e-importance!"

Wow.......I got way to into this.

EDIT. Quick, make this private, we don't want developers stealing my idea! We'll be shooting ourselves in the head 300 years in the future!
