Okay, the next game is supposed to due for release come November, like CoD4, so we can expect it to be released around the same time that i35 is (if anything like CoD4)

Some of the pointers so far!

Gameplay

Call of Duty: World at War will feature a more mature theme than previous installments in the series. Swimming elements will be introduced to the series for the first time in single player and multiplayer. While in water, the player cannot sprint and will only move at half speed. Flamethrowers, first introduced in Call of Duty: United Offensive, will be reintroduced with new flammable environments. The game will be slightly more open-ended than previous games in the series, as there will be multiple ways to complete missions.

Multiplayer

World at War will feature cooperative gameplay (four players via split-screen (on consoles) or four players online) for the first time in the franchise. Cooperative multiplayer on the Wii will allow for multiple players to play on one screen, with gameplay sients within multiplayer. It will also use a perk system similar to Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4. Activision has confirmed the presence of vehicles in multiplayer.

Baiscally, its going to be CoD:UO for the opposite side of the world, on the newest graphics engine. Vehicles were in CoD:UO, as were the flamethrowers.

4 player Online Co-op should be quite good though! Anyone up for that when it comes out ? :D

I'm hoping it will be better than CoD4, due to the fact that the number of weapons are limited, and we get REAL RIFLES! (In previous CoD games you cannot beat the awesomeness of the rifle).

The physics engine has been upgraded to, you can now shoot holes through wood instead of just being able to shoot through it, apparently, you'll be able to make a hole big enough to climb through.

They have also included the feature to set the environment on fire with the flame thrower, which will make things interesting in multiplayer (unless they're making CoD5 a bigger multiplayer game)

Its focus is the US vs Japan, Russia Vs Germany at the end of WWII.

CoD5 (aka Call of Duty: World at War), will be having a beta test in October (source: Eurogamer) and is looking to a 14th November release in the UK.

Players will be able to try their hands at the new squad system, as well as experimenting with the features inherited from Modern Warfare, such as the perk system.

Squad system? But isn't CoD all about running round like a headless chicken firing at anything that moves? :p

Yeh this game is definately going to be awesome, so much so that I had to resort to my South East London/North West Kent slang.

I'm going to have to agree with you nanor, this I'd made by the same people that made CoD3, but maybe they learn't from their mistakes?

Sorry for the mega bump but I got this for Christmas and might be up for some Co-Op or just hopping on a server for a bit of rapage if anyone's interested.

It won't replace Battlefield if that's what anyone was expecting. It's far too small with too few vehicles for that.

Add me on the ingame 'friends' thingy, both PsiSoldier or PsiSoldier28. Also if you want, I can organise some people to play Nazi Zombies with.

I'd like to ask one thing about this game:

I've heard roumors about a mission where you have to find some wounded enemy soldiers to kill them as your primary mission objective ... does that mission really exist or is that just a bad try to give the game a bad image?

As the Russian's there's quite a lot of "Kill the prisoner!". You get a choice. However, the choice isn't live or die it's burn or bleed. As far as I can remember there's no specific mission to kill wounded troops.

Nanor's right, there's no mission in which your objective is to kill prisoners. Not really alot of prisoner killing, I can only remember one such instance, the others were your ex-captors, and people trying to surrender.

I'm sorry, but even if its not a mission objective, thats extremely disgusting ...
