Cancelling AOL? Not... that.. easy!

Well there's yet more proof never to go with AOL.

My dad had similar problems trying to cancel our NTL account. We had a phone line and a television channel package with them that we just weren't using much, and my dad must have spoken to at least 15 people trying to cancel it. They would just forward him to someone else, put him on hold or whatnot.

After someone telling him it had been canceled, we got billed for it all the next month. Cutting it short, he had to speak to loads more people for one to eventually tell him he had to write a letter to some sort of NTL headquarters in Ireland or N. Ireland...

That was just ridiculous.

if you get charged for something you shouldnt have simply call your credit card company or bank and let them deal with it :)

*phones bank*
"Hello I've been falsely charged for a service I have not used please could you recover the money for me"
*waits for appologetic letter from service provider and phone call from bank saying its all sorted*

I'm sure my dad did sort that out, he doesn't really discuss such matters to me that deal with his bank.
