To celebrate the launch of the preorder of Civ V, the full set of all Civ IV games is being sold at a stupidly cheap price atm...

Worth getting, even if you don't play often. I'm sensing a mass game of this at i40 tbh

I saw this, and i though what is to gain from buying any civ game until they make one that fails(to get a sequel), and then buy just that and its prequel(with the assumption that while the later one would be more innovative but the one before it might be the better game)?

Just bought a copy of Civ IV for 7€ and would be interested in trying out multiplayer at some point. I don't have Steam though, hope that's not needed...

It´s not, rest assured. I would be up for giving it a go, although the games are really long and unlikely to be finished in one evening - and getting the same people who started it on another day is often problematic.
