COD2 recruitment

Well we really we need to recruit some more guys. The way it is at the moment is fine for going on a server and having some fun but if we want to get some more guys playing it so we can have practice matches etc. we'll need to recruit. The thing is its harder than BF2 because of the squad system but still try and find some guys as I got introduced to 2nd infantary just by using the text box.

What I'd suggest, as a starter, would be to get your [THN] tags all on a server at once.

There's six of you, right? Well, that's enough to make it obvious that you're a real group (you see all these clan tags and you just know there's no clan behind many of them) and yet not quite enough to totally dominate one side of the game. So you play well (and in a really friendly fashion) and people will start to ask if they can join up. Visit the same collection of servers week-on-week and you'll see the same crowds. You might even be able to get away with the occasional global chat "Visit our web site at..." message, but check the server rules on advertising before you do.

Stick together, play well and respectfully, and keep a few popular servers in your favourites list. People will start to notice that [THN] are a cool bunch of people and the ones who are looking for a group to play with will start to ask for more information. That's my take, anyhow.

By the by, what's this squad system? I don't have CoD2 so I'm not familiar with it (beyond the single-player demo).

Yeah I can vouch for what Ronin is saying. It happens all the time in BF2. We usually explain to them about the community stuff. That's how we've gain so many new members for BF2.

To the best of my knowlege there's no squad system in COD. Gibson was saying it was harder to play because it lacks a squad system.

(right Gibs?)

Yeah fi$hys right, the problem with COD2 is its not got the squad system as BF2 has, with COD2 there is VOIP but it everyone on the server can hear it and not many people use it.

I wouldnt agree safety, yes public servers you are basically on your own but when we played a 3v3 against 2nd infantary we used tactics and teamwork which worked.

I played COD2 for the first time last night.
I'm not overly impressed.
Maybe it will grow on me.
The online gameplay is very simple and a little bit boring.

Maybe I have been spoilt way too much by BF2.
