[CoD4] Practice sessions.

Okay, These sessions are going to be based on the following sort of settings. This Event will be every wednesday
The practice games are going to be primarily for the I33 team- so we can make the THN name known -

NORMAL Mode. Not hardcore.

*Weapon settings to be updated*

PAM 4 Mod with the "Crossfire" Settings. (I've got these all installed on the server, Just gotta get them running )

The maps we'll be using are :

• mp_backlot
• mp_crash / Daytime version
• mp_crossfire
• mp_vacant
• mp_citystreet / Distrct
• mp_strike

Tactics for each map will be stored in the CoD4 message boards when they're sorted so we're all sorts of secret!

The team consists of :

• Traxata
• Waterproofbob
• Emp3Danie
• Nanor
• Tetsuo

Reserves ( Currently don't have the game )

• Birdy
• Iron_Fist

Just to clarify the above, Everyone can attend so its not all biased towards the I33 event, because we will no doubt be using these maps in Clan-based games anyway

Danie wont be here this week, because well, he blew up his PC. though the plus side I guess is that I'm going to get the Asus Crossfire board and the AMD AM2 6400+ which we shall see if hes fried or not

I wrote a proper rant expressing just how annoyed I was at this tonight but it didn't post properly so I'll try and recreate it with as much verve and vigor as I had when I wrote this post the first time.

Firstly I love competitive gaming and the only way to get to a standard where we can win matches is to practice regularly. At the very least you have to be where you say you will be when you say you will. I am currently fed up as I had lectures all day then had work 5-8 and got home at 8:30 expecting to join an ongoing THN COD4 event to find that the person who had organised it had completely forgotten and was playing somet else.
I would have quite happily gone to the pub tonight to have a nice pint and a game of pool but I got back as soon as I could to play.

Please can this not be another case where people seem really enthused and we go yeah lets do this and then it fizzles. I know I'm more intense than most and I know we can't do what I'd like to do which is organised training at least 3-4 times a week. I get that but when we have an event like this where, the grunts are there with no direction it is a waste of everyones time and effort.

I want to get serious about this as I miss seeing my clan up in ED winning matches and I know others here agree with me. There was no better feeling this time last year than seeing the big green blobs next to the clan name in ED and being 500 points clear of the next team. I'm not expecting insta-greatness but we have some top players and bob wants to beat people.

This isn't at everyone as some were here tonight and this isn't meant to offend anyone but grrrrrrrrr.
