I could've sworn there was an old thread here, but I can't find it for the life of me. (Maybe it was at the old forums? Who knows.)
Combat Mission is a turn-based WWII strategy game. It uses a unique "wego" system where players both give their units orders at the same time, and then the game runs for a minute (during which the player has no control.) Action is then paused and players allowed to issue more orders, etc. It's rather difficult to explain well, but easy to understand once you see it. Why not try the demo and see for yourself?
Ronin and I are just starting to play this again after a rather long (at least in my case) break from the game. This would probably be a good time to jump in, while we're (or at least I'm) still rusty and making terrible tactical decisions. We're playing Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin (aka CMBB, aka CM2,) the demo of which I linked earlier. Definitely check it out if you want to try something a little different.
