[Tech] Conexant sound drivers

hey I have been having some sound crackling/popping and some occasional framerate losse in wow, I don't think its lag or a graphics card problem, I think it's my sound drivers that need updating.

I have a Conexant Sound Card.

however, when updating via vista itself, through control panel/sound/properties etc. it does upate from a 2006 driver to a 2008 one (i think) but when i test it I have nosound whatsoever, and i end rerolling back and not noing wether it would have fixed it.

any ideas what I should do?

Find the drivers to download on the manufacturer website. They tend to have multiple versions available for you, just incase of that problem.
