Hey guys ive ordered myself a new computer specs are:
AMD Athlon64 x2 5200 Four core Processor
Biostar nForce 520 Chipset 2000HT Motherboard
4096Mb DDR2 800Mhz memory
nVidia GeForce 512Mb 9400GT Graphics Card

I dont have it yet but i thought it was not to bad for the price £393 with windows etc
I was just wondering what games everyone is playing and what i should get.
I still have Company of heroes, the dawn of wars, the battlefields, HL, CSS and the C&C games

I have dawn of war 2 on pre-order, any other good games i should think about getting?

Hmm, Call of Duty 4 seems to be missing off that list, though not exactly the newest of games. Not tried CoD5 so I can't comment on that one.

Team Fortress 2 gets a good outing each Wednesday so that'd be worth picking up if you're wanting some team games.

For some reason I'm having trouble thinking of good game releases, on the PC, recently...

The Athlon 64 x2 range are only dual core, the Phenom's are Quad core. You may want to check what you've bought.

nVidia GeForce 512Mb 9400GT Graphics Card

That low-end card is not going to be that great with resolutions and FPS , you need either the 8800, or the 9800 series cards to get any decent FPS...

You may want to consider buying some upgrades for that machine. The RAM's fine, no idea about the Mobo... never really heard of "biostar".

I wouldn't go all out on games. Your graphics card is a bit weak. It will play games but I'd imagine not at the level you'd think it might.

If you moved off of Nvidia, go for the 4870

The Specs are ALOT better than the current computers, witch is good enough for me atm.
Yeah i have teamfortress just it doesnt work on this computer, nor does many of my games anymore
Still guys i'll be on when i get it this week hopefully. I dont know how many of you plan to get Dawn of War 2 but im definatly getting it if anyone else wants a game when its out.

Oh good, ive got the beta and this comp just cant handle it at all.
From what ive seen it looks realy good, and its more like CoH now with cover and garrisoning buildings etc
Love'd that game and the old DoW gona love this one twice as much

Just been informed my PC's been sent, so i'll get the beta and come on with yas sometime soon.

Eeesh, don't make the mistake of believing its like either of those two games. It plays nothing like the original DoW, even the units that used to counter each other have changed. CoH also is still alot more advanced than DoW2 suprisingly, such as micro reversing tanks, prolonged firefights, and supression systems being accurate. DoW2 is a fun game, but don't get your hopes up based on other games
