Decent MMO's?

Does anybody know of any decent MMO's? There are a few good 'uns around, but it's soooo boring alone.

WoW: Getting boring already. Can heal every heroic without any CC.

GW: Barely anybody plays, if at all.

EVE: You're never invited to things unless you have 100,000,000,000,000 SP.

AION: It's too tough for most people, so they give up quickly.

LOTRO: Same as AION.

WAR: Too easy.

STO: Barely any end game, and the little that there is is, PVP (Very one sided) and just harder versions of low missions.

DC Universe Online: Good, only thing you'll get in general channels, is crying, villian sightings (If on a PVP server), otherwise no guilds around yet (and if there are, nobody advertises / responds when you ask about them)


So yeah, any that you know off that's accually half decent?

EQ2 is decent, and you can try it for free (and even play it for free though there are obvious restrictions). I liked it, but opted to play wow instead. Only got enough time for one.

Rift looks like it'll be good.

I enjoyed Champions online, which is also going free to play.

I take it DC Universe is no good then?

But won't you have that in any MMO?

You need to tlak to people randomly, I do it all the time in new games. Sometimes it's quite entertaining. I found a super random dude whilst playing rift beta, we literally talked nonsense for 30 minutes. Was awesome. :)

You can also try MMO's that are not so CRPG-like kill-things-and-take-their-stuff. I would suggest Shattered Galaxies for RTS-like gameplay, and A Tale In The Desert, for a more crafting and social skills experience.

The next Planetside is coming out soon, which personally I am very much looking forward to. I know theres a few ex-PS players here, so we could possibly get an outfit going on it, if we can decide on a faction that is :p.

if you even THINK I'm playing as NC you got another thing coming. I might try the TR but I used to play as VS and would want to stick with that :p

HAH, so we have myself who use to play as VS, Psi who used to be TR and Killer who used to be NC.

Planetside is a game I wish I had heard about in it's heyday. Unfortunately it first came to my attention just as the mass exodus of players started happening, so I never picked it up. I'm definitely excited a sequel is coming out though. I wanna be a pilot!!

My favourite role was infantry and armour, i never played it enough to get battle rank 26 but i did get command rank 5 :S

Organised armour columns were my favourite part of Planetside by far. Nothing beats the sight of 100+ Prowlers just steamrolling their way across a continent, mashing everything in their path to a bloody smear on the treads.

I managed to get my first (and only) 25/5 just before the EU servers started getting deserted. They added up to 50 (or 45, I can't remember), and upon reaching that cap you literally unlocked everything.

I didnt even get that far, only br 22, still got yellow armour :( seems all of the stats sites have expired :(

It was, and then they raised it to 25, with 24 giving you the option to remove your helmet & equip a few cosmetic items (sunglasses, berets, com pieces, that sort of stuff), and 25 having brand spankin' new shiny armour. :D
