An uneasy peace has broken out in the Pator system in the last 12 hours, as The Haven NetWorks desperate diplomatic efforts managed to gain a ceasefire.
Reports of heavy fighting around the Kullheim Republic Assembly Plant give us a rare insight as to how close to total defeat the Haven Networks came.
A total of 8 ships were reported destroyed by Concord investigators. Though we understand that the Haven Networks were unable to commit some of their heavier firepower to the protection of their corporate HQ due to sabotage of the docking facilities for these monsterous ships.
Witnesses explained that the defence force was rendered all but useless, as the Hexstoof Corporation deployed it's stealth bomber pilots to dispatch high priority threats first, before closing in with Battlecruiser class warships.
One of the surviving captains has been famously quoted for saying just minutes beforehand:
"Heh, frigates are too small to be targetted by cruise missiles."

Sadly he was seemingly mistaken. As were several others who believed that closing the engagement range against a battlecruiser would result in success.
Many have been left wondering what terms were drawn up that could possibly placate the Hexstoof Corporation as they had the upper hand in the final hours. Yet their reasons for declaring the war remain just as much of a mystery. Perhaps it is best kept that way.
For now though things remain calm yet uneasy. Concord expects that if the ceasefire can be maintained for the first 24 hours a peace settlement could be reached.
