divx/xvid movies

Hi Guys,

Got a quandry for y'all!

Why don't divX and xvid encode movies play on my PC?
I have downloaded and installed the following in this order

Nimo Final 5.0
DivX 6.4 Bundle
Xvid 1.1.2
DirectX 9.0c

What am i missing? Or is my PC just fooked?

What happens when you try to play them? Does your PC ground to a halt?

If it does, and you have an nVidia card, try downgrading your drivers to forceware drivers 84.21. Linkage.

Let us know if that works.

Right, yes my PC does just freeze up, and i cant get the dl to work, it just doesnt do anything
